Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earliest confirmed ancestors of this family are Johann Georg B\u03cbhler (1819-)<\/a><\/strong> and his wife Angelika Bosch Schmid (1826- )<\/a><\/strong> who appear in the orchard photo below. They were married on 23 APR 1850 in Germany, W\u03cbrttenberg, Donaukreis, Schalkstetten. Both their oldest and youngest sons emigrated to Chile. Their daughter Elisabeth(1862-1914) married Jakob Dauner (1859-1909).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of their official information in Germany comes from Family search.org. The B\u03cbhler last name is common in Germany. Their custom of replicating both the first and middle names to the oldest son, has made the task difficult and we had to make some corrections over the years. We will seek corroboration from additional sources before listing other potential earlier ancestors.<\/p>\n\n\n

Their oldest son, Johann Georg B\u03cbhler Bosch (1854-1911)<\/strong><\/a>, served in the German military before emmigrating to Southern Chile where, in 1879, he married Amalia <\/strong><\/a>Kowoll<\/a><\/strong>Rau <\/strong>(1859-1917)<\/a> daughter of a polish immigrant to Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had six surviving daughters who generate the branches: Robles-B\u03cbhler<\/a><\/strong>, Ugarte-B\u03cbhler<\/a><\/strong>, Quezada-B\u03cbhler<\/strong>, Mujica-B\u03cbhler<\/a><\/strong>. Amalia also helped raise the Garc\u00eda-Kowoll children of her sister Carmen Kowoll (1861-1901)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of their three sons (Jorge, Carlos, Guillemo), only Jorge B\u03cbhler Kowoll<\/a><\/strong> marriedto Urbana Briones Searle<\/a><\/strong>, had male descendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They generated the branches B\u03cbhler-L\u00f3pez, B\u03cbhler-Ormaz\u00e1bal and Lazcano-B\u03cbhler<\/a>. <\/strong>These last branches have descendants living in Chile and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n

Matthaeus B\u03cbhler Bosch<\/strong> (1864-)<\/a>, followed his older brother to Southern Chile, where he worked initially in the beer industry. He bought a farm in Osorno were he married Ernestine Hott Schencke in 1893. His descendants have had an active leadership role in the agricultural industry of the region, have held public service positions around Osorno and built an important commercial and real estate business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a8Maruja\u00a8 Ugarte B\u03cbhler<\/strong><\/a> remembered fondly her visits at stop-overs in Osorno at \u00a8t\u00edo Mateo\u00a8 when in route to Puerto Montt to spend her summer vacations with cousin Yolanda Robles B\u03cbhler<\/a><\/strong>. Contact between the descendants of the two B\u03cbhler-Bosch brothers has been lost. We think the photo shown below includes both brothers and would welcome help to identify the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n

1. We seek collaboration, possibly in Germany, to confirm and document the ancestors of Angelika Bosch Schmid (1826- )<\/a><\/strong>, and of her husband Johann Georg B\u03cbhler (1819-)<\/a>.<\/strong> We would like to identify the precise location of their orchard photo shown above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. We would like to confirm and document the ancestors of Leopold Kowoll Hoffmann (1832- )<\/a><\/strong> and his wife Dorothea Rau<\/a><\/strong>, possibly in Poland or Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. We would like to document the dates of passage to Chile and vessels of both B\u03cbhler-Bosch brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
